As the title says, I just finished the first draft of part 1 of The Dragon in Me :D What that means is that I only have to go over it once to fix the largest issues before I'm ready to start posting again! Hopefully you're as excited as I am! Word count right now is 32k, spread out over 13 chapters. Those numbers are likely to go up as I go back to work in some stuff I realized I'll have to describe in more detail. I'm not 100% sure how long that will take, since it's the first time I'm doing edits of this scale, but I'm hoping not more than a week or two. It's been a little over three months since the I uploaded the last chapter of The Dragon in Me and I thought I'd give you guys an update on where things are at right now. I'm still a bit blown away by the reception of Part 0, especially with how many comments I got on it. I didn't really think I'd have too many people reading it after almost five years of inactivity, so a big thanks to everyone who did so :) Anyway, let's get on with it. I had a pretty busy time with University up until the beginning of July, but the last few weeks I've finally been able to write again. So... It's been quite a while since I've last really done anything up here and I figured I'd update anyone interested enough to read this where my story is at right now and where it's headed. I just finished writing the last ~1000 words of chapter 8, the last chapter of what I'm calling "Part 0". It's about 18,7k words total right now (though that might change slightly as I revise and edit what I've already written) and is sort of a self contained story.
